Perceptive Clinical Intelligence

Expert advice on clinical supply and randomization, backed by simulation and forecasting, so you can make the big decisions before they become expensive.

Three services, one team: supply chain consultancy, randomization consultancy, and expert training. Engage across the whole lifecycle, or on a single decision.

Where Supply and Randomization Decisions Go Wrong

  • Supply plans built on assumptions that recruitment then ignores, so the first batch is either short or oversized.
  • Protocol changes, new countries and new cohorts arriving after the supply strategy is locked.
  • IRT parameters set once at build and never revisited, even as the study behaves differently from the forecast.
  • Waste and stock-out risk treated as a single dial, where cutting one raises the other.
  • Randomization designs written for statistical intent that are hard to operationalize in the system.
  • Problems surfacing after go-live, when the options are narrower and the fixes cost time.

What PCI Covers

Three services delivered by one team: supply chain consultancy, randomization consultancy, and expert training.

Protocol to supply strategy

We turn protocol requirements into an executable supply design, with feasibility and risk review before the build starts.

Forecasting and scenario modeling

What-if analysis for recruitment, dosing, amendments and country expansion, so you test an assumption before committing to it.

IRT supply configuration

Validation of triggers, buffers, stock levels and supply schemes before go-live, then re-simulation as the study moves.

Randomization consultancy

Strategy design, stratification planning, adaptive designs, list generation and IRT readiness review.

Live study health checks

Review of first randomization, first dispensation, resupply and expiry events, with ongoing stock-out and expiry risk monitoring.

Expert training

Role-based programs on supply strategy, randomization design and simulation, built on real trial examples.

Who You Work With

  • Supply and randomization specialists in one team, with a single point of contact across both disciplines.
  • 20+ years of clinical supply management, inside a business that has been building RTSM for 30 years.
  • Depth in complex designs: adaptive trials, oncology, radiopharmaceuticals, platform trials, gene and cell therapies, and personalized medicine.
  • Simulation and forecasting technology through our partnership with Trialzen.
  • Reports framed around risk, cost, supply continuity and your study objectives, so you can act on them.
  • We work with your IRT whether or not it is ours. On ClinPhone Pro, we can act on the configuration as well as advise on it.

How the Engagement Works

Take the full study lifecycle, or take one decision. Both are normal.

Plan and design

Initial supply planning, the impact of design and protocol choices, sourcing decisions, and forecasting at patient and site level.

IRT build

Supply configuration decisions, trigger and resupply settings, lookahead windows, and validation of the planning assumptions.

Post go-live

Batch sizing and order timing, mid-study changes, depot additions, and continuous re-forecasting where recruitment is volatile.

Close-out

Live study review, protocol adherence checks, issue investigation and change request support.

100%end-to-end supply chain visibility
25%reduction in overage
20%fewer kits shipped
2weeks off IRT specification timelines

How PCI Connects to the Rest

Advice, platform and capability are one connected system. Here is how the pieces fit together.

ClinPhone Pro Core

Standardized RTSM for common study designs, designed to go live in about four weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Perceptive Clinical Intelligence?

A consultancy service covering clinical supply chain strategy, randomization strategy and expert training, delivered by Perceptive Clinical specialists and supported by simulation and forecasting technology.

Do we have to use your IRT to work with you?

No. We advise on studies running on other interactive response technology (IRT) systems. On a Perceptive IRT we can also act on the configuration directly.

When should we bring you in?

As early as trial concept, when protocol requirements are still being shaped into a supply design. Later engagement works, and mid-study support is a large part of what we do, but early involvement gives you more options.

Can we engage for a single question?

Yes. Modular support is designed for one decision, such as first batch sizing, a supply scheme review, or a second opinion on a randomization design.

What does supply simulation actually tell us?

It models how your supply plan behaves under different assumptions about recruitment, dosing, sites and countries, so you can compare options before manufacturing or configuration decisions are locked.

Which study types do you support?

Complex designs are the core of it: adaptive trials, oncology, radiopharmaceuticals, platform trials, gene and cell therapies, and personalized medicine, where manufacturing capacity, dosing calculations and logistics constraints interact.
